Snowed In

Yesterday was another snow day for the books.

We've had more snow so far this winter than usual.

I'm not really complaining.

It's about the only think I actually like about winter.

However, it's only the beginning of January, the worst is most likely still to come.

And all those snow make up days Brian has to tack onto the end of the school year- UGH!

Not a fan when it starts to cut into our summer fun :(

 

Remember waking up in the morning as a child and looking outside to see if there was enough snow to cancel school?

I still get that excited feeling.

It had started snowing before we went to bed.

And Brian already got the word that he wouldn't have school.

When we woke up, it was a beautiful winter wonderland.

 

Brian and the girls got ready to head outside.

There was about six inches.

Brian started the cleaning up process.

The girls just like to eat the snow.

They are perfectly content just laying in the snow, eating it.

Weirdos.

But it was pretty bitter out, so it didn't last too long.

 

We spent the rest of the day playing with Christmas gifts.

Jane loves the princess Go Fish and Old Maid games she got.

Brian always wants to tell our families not the get the girls anything for Christmas,

because they have too much.

But it is sooo nice when they have something new to do, it keeps them busy for days!

Barbie paper dolls-

quite a hit.

(by the way, paper dolls are way cooler and easier than when I was a kid)
