Tabora Farm

McIntosh apples are the only apples Brian likes to eat.  Well lucky for him, they are the first apples ready every apple season.  It's become our tradition to go to Tabora to pick them at the end of August.  Jane decided that I was not going to do her hair today, but rather she would just wear her hat.  So even though I knew I wanted to get photos, sometimes you just say okay.

As much as I don't want to see summer end, after our trip today, I'm feeling pretty good about fall.
Tomorrow is looking like apple crisp and apple sauce.  Next we'll be making pumpkin everything.  Yes, fall, you are welcomed.

And of course you can't go to Tabora and not get a smiley face cookie.

Brigantine

We took our final trip of the summer down to the shore.
The kids had a total blast.

We went down on Monday, and once we were unpacked and had some lunch,
we headed to the beach and spent the rest of the afternoon.
The girls are not afraid of the ocean at all!
They were loving jumping waves.
Owen was such a good boy.
He loved crawling around in the sand, of course finding every stick and shell.
The girls made a friend who had mermaid dolls.
It pretty much made the rest of the day.

Tuesday Jane brought the boogie board down to the beach and insisted on using it like a surf board.

Our last day, we were on the beach before 9 9n the morning.  We had it all to our selves.
It was the perfect morning.
The girls played in the water first, then daddy played in their giant hole with them.
We could not have asked for a better trip.
