Vacation 2014

Picking a vacation destination is really fun.
When we started planning this year's vacation,
I envisioned kids jumping off of a dock, lake swimming, boat riding.
Well, this vacation did not disappoint!

Thanks to my brother-in-law,
we were hooked up with an awesome cabin in Hadley, New York.
Lakes and rivers everywhere.

We went with friends and family,
which really made the trip super fun...and crazy with 6 kids all 5 years and under!

Our first morning, we hiked up the mountain with all the kids.
It was a long hike, but once we reached the top, it was completely worth it.

We went down to the lake after lunch.  I didn't have my camera, but the kindest woman took everyone out on her boat.  She even pulled them around on a tube.  It was awesome. (or so I heard, because I stayed on land with Owen and Molly who chickened out).   We later wrapped up our day with, to the kids this was quite the hightlight of the trip, a bath in the Jacuzzi tub.  (by the last day, this baby was filled, bubbles to the max, jets on...the kids loved it!)

The next morning we drove out to find some water falls.
The kids were getting along so well!

The afternoon mostly involved taking it easy around the cabin.

After dinner we took suited up and took popsicles down to the lake.

The beach at the cabin was awfully rocky, so we set out to a sandier place to play the next day.
Everyone had such a blast, we ended up staying most of the day.

After a long day on the beach, s'mores were in order before bed!

Everyone looks sooooo tired!

Our next adventure was around Saratoga Springs.
We took an early morning tour around the racetrack.

And a stop at the Saratoga Children's Museum scored us parents some major bonus points.
Jane was a waitress, a post woman, Snow White, a bride...

And we had a picnic lunch in the park with the ducks.

The girls got some fancy dancy Barbie fishing rods for their birthdays that we took along to try out.
Eating the stale bread may or may not have been the most exciting part....

We were so close to Lake George that we couldn't no take a trip there and at least ride the steamboat.

And that was that!
