NYE

More blurry pictures.
Maybe I should take a photo class or something :p

Anyway, last NYE we took the girls to the aquarium.
So this year, I thought we should do something fun again.
The trampoline park just so happened to have toddler time in the morning, and we had never been so I thought this was perfect.
We bought our tickets online the day before because they were expecting to be crowded and sell out.
Boy was it crowded.
The girls had a great time but I think they were a little overwhelmed by all the kids everywhere!

To bounce, you have to either where a pair of special shoes that they provide or buy these orange socks.
We opted for the socks.
Molly ended up taking them off in the foam pit and losing them in there.
She also must have twisted her ankle, because she was walking funny.
I kept asking her if it hurt and she kept saying no so we let her keep playing.

It definitely wore them out, that's for sure!

Since the girls are still pretty young (and are used to going to bed at 7) for any real New Years party, we decided to ring it in ourselves.
At 6:00.

Just before 6, we turned on some music and danced.
Jane sang us some songs.
I bought one of those cheap New Years packages of hats and blowers at Walmart.
They were definitely cheap, but the girls had fun with them anyway.

Molly kept sneaking into the kitchen to steal bites of dessert.
She takes after her mama.

Seconds before 6, we went outside and counted down.
We let the girls go crazy with their horns and run around the front yard.
They had gone to Disney on Ice with their Nana earlier in the week and got those spinny light up sticks.
They were perfect.

This was the first year we explained what New Years was to Jane.
She thought it was pretty cool.
And everyday since she's been telling us the date.
"Today is January 3rd, 2014."
She's a smart little cookie, that one!
