Gooey Chocolate Butter Cookie Recipe

Who doesn't love a cookie swap?  We had ours this morning, and there is nothing better than trying out each other's cookies and then being able to take home the ones you loved!

I decided to make these chocolate butter cookies (not sure why these are exactly called a butter cookie but yummy all the same).

They are really easy, here's what you need:

Ingredients
1 stick of butter room temperature
1 8oz block of cream cheese room temperature
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
1 box chocolate moist cake mix
white powdered sugar for rolling

No need to preheat the oven just yet, this batter needs to chill for 2 hours.

Directions:
1.  Cream the butter and cream cheese.
2.  Mix in egg.
3.  Mix in vanilla.
4.  Mix in cake mix.

5.  Chill for 2 hours so dough hardens.
6.  Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
7.  Roll into teaspoon size balls.
8.  Roll ball in powdered sugar and place on ungreased cookie sheet.
 9.  Bake for 12 minutes.  Let cool for 2 minutes before moving to cooling rack.
10.  Sprinkle with extra powdered sugar.

Easy-peasy right?

 ENJOY!!
