Christmas Eve

Actually, Christmas Eve Eve we wrote out our letters to Santa.
Since we didn't visit with Santa this year, we thought we'd take our letters to the Post Office Christmas Eve.
They have a fancy mailbox just for letters to the North Pole.
Molly wrote that she wanted a candy cane.
Jane asked for Pop the Pig.
Both girls added that they had been good this year.

Christmas Eve morning we woke up and got ready right away.
We decided we were going to donate some toys as well this morning.
I thought it would be hard to convince the girls to let the Weebles go.
Surprisingly, they were happy with the idea of giving them to children who don't have as many toys as we do.

So we headed out with 2 stops in mind.
First to the post office.
When we got there, the mailbox was gone!
The post man told us they had just taken it down but would be sure to get the girls letters to Santa by tonight.

Our next stop was the Share and Care Shop to drop off our donation.
We drove through town and I couldn't resist having the girls get out and take some pictures under the town Christmas tree.

We made our toy donation, went to Christmas Eve service at church,
then went to Peddler's Village to look at lights and Gingerbread Houses.
It was really cold.
We didn't have any mittens.
Oops.
But we enjoyed it.
It even started to snow!
It felt very Christmasy!!
(Blurry pics.  It was just too cold to care.)

We stopped at a house on our way home that was totally decked out in lights.
And the lights blinked to music that you set on your car radio.
Everyone really like it!

We tucked the girls into bed.
Santa came while they were sleeping.
As soon as he was done, poor Molly woke up moaning.
Brian tried to settle her but then got her out of bed.
As he was carrying her, she got sick.
Lots of dark throw up.
Blood.
It scared the crap out of me.
I called my mom who said we should just watch her.
She was acting fine and they wouldn't do any tests on her that night anyway she said.
Christmas she had black poop which meant the blood was going through.
I called our doctor, concerned if I should take her to the ER.
They told me just to watch her.
She was acting fine and if she didn't get sick again it was ok.
Since that night she's been totally normal.
But every noise she makes at night I wake right up and listen, making sure she's ok.
I just keep praying that it doesn't ever happen again.
I have no idea what could have made her be bleeding inside.
So scary.
